INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR LANDTECH-WORD TEMPLATES

Your Landtech XML program is usually installed under a folder named \LTAPPS\LTWXML. If it is a standalone installation, the folder’s path is likely C:\LTAPPS\LTWXML and on a network the C can be replaced with the actual drive letter. For instance, it may be installed under L:\LTAPPS\LTWXML on your system. We will ignore the drive letter in these instructions and just refer to it as \LTAPPS\LTWXML\.

Under \LTAPPS\LTWXML\LTWXMLis a folder WP, so the complete path to your documetns would be \LTAPPS\LTWXML\LTWXML\WP. It is to this location that you want to install the documents. If you started using Landtech before 2006, you may not have a WP folder. If not, simply create the folder under \LTAPPS\LTWXML.

On this web site we have divided the documents into categories such as Sales Docs, Refinance, Misc, Corp Buyer, Corp Seller, and FNMA in the main area, and a category for each title insurance underwriter in the Title Forms Section. These are the names of folders that should be under your \LTAPPS\LTWXML\WP folder and the documents should be saved to that folder. If the folder doesn’t exist, please create it before downloading the document or documents. If you are unsure of what to do, please contact us for further assistance.

Word 2003: To set these forms up, go into Microsoft Word™ and select Tools, Options and click on the File Locations tab. The 4th item down, Workgroup Templates should be set to \LTAPPS\LTWXML\WP preceded by the appropriate Drive letter such as C: or L: or whatever drive your Landtech for Windows is located on.

Word 2007: Click on the big button at the top left and select Word Options at the bottom of the menu. Click on Advanced on the left and scroll down to the bottom of that menu and click on the File Locations button. The 4th item down, Workgroup Templates should be set to \LTAPPS\LTWXML\WP preceded by the appropriate Drive letter such as C: or L: or whatever drive your Landtech for Windows is located on.
 
Word 2010: Click on File at the top left and select Options from the menu. Click on Advanced on the left and scroll down to the bottom of that menu and click on the File Locations button. The 4th item down, Workgroup Templates should be set to \LTAPPS\LTWXML\WP preceded by the appropriate Drive letter such as C: or L: or whatever drive your Landtech for Windows is located on.
 
To merge a document in Word, select File, New, Templates on My Computer, click on the appropriate tab and select the document that you wish to merge. When the document appears on your screen, click on the LT Merge button on your toolbar, and click OK to start the merge and OK when it ends. You may now adjust the document for a specific closing. Because these are templates, you will be working on a new document and will not overwrite the original.

Landtech Document Editor (LDE): These forms are copied to the \LTWXML\LDE-DOCS folder and will automatically show up on that menu. if you want to add any or all of the LDE documents to the HUD Additional Pages list, save the documents to the \LTWXML\LDE-DOCS\HudAdd folder. to add documents to the LDE Quick-Print menu, save them to the \LTWXML\LDE-DOCS\PrintMnu folder.
