We are one of the regional distributors of the Landtech Real Estate
Settlement System, responsible for the State of Florida and have
been working with Landtech exclusively since 1988. We have also
done some Landtech training in Georgia, North Carolina, Montana,
Nebraska, Texas
and Utah and have spoken at a law firm conference in Washington,
D.C., but we are based in Florida. Over the years we have seen
many transitions in the development of Landtech with it’s
emphasis on the latest technology. At first, of course, we had
the Landtech for DOS version of the program. This was developed
by Wyatt Bell who still owns Landtech Data Corporation. Here's
a photo of Wyatt taken in 1979. He was at the ALTA convention
that year demonstrating the first version of Landtech on a Radio
Shack TRS80 computer. This was before the IBM Personal Computer
was introduced. Landtech has always been on the leading edge of
technology, the first to introduce fax capability in a DOS closing
program, the first to incorporate legal electronic signature capability,
the first to use XML to transfer data from any title insurance
underwriter or independent title searcher directly into closing software.
It is now the only closing software with its own IPhone App
for Landtech ESign. It’s worth mentioning
that all of these enhancements and improvements were incorporated
in the program at no additional charge to our user base. Landtech
was also the only closing program to seamlessly transfer existing
DOS files into Landtech for Windows, again at no additional charge
to our customers.
